Dainty Bess

One of my most adored roses in the garden. It’s five (or six) petals stretch outward with the morning sun and come to a close in the late evening. This rose was created in the 1920s by a UK breeder named William Archer. It came about in 1925 when Archer bred its parents Ophelia and Kitchener of Khartoum. Dainty Bess keeps its petals for several days and may let them go on a windy day leaving you with a beautiful stoma that is sure to bring about some bees.
