It’s been almost two months since we began this planting journey, and we have seen some gains and losses. This cold/wet snap has caused some seedlings to grow mold and die. Fortunately, we have had more gains than losses. We are currently sitting on 243 seedlings and that is with ~20-30 seedlings dying. We have successfully transferred 138 seedlings from the seed tray to 3-inch containers. We expect that more will die as we continue with time, but for this year (2023) we are hoping that we have 200 seedlings that progress to full growth plants.
We are very grateful to even have sprouts shoot up this year as last year we had none. We will keep you posted as we progress through the spring. Keep your fingers crossed for beautiful flowers!
